Fontbonne is proud to be a supporter of the 2019 Marine Toys For Tots Boston drive this year. Our community collected more than 500 toys! The school kicked off our drive the Monday after Thanksgiving. Two donation boxes on campus were filled up each day with unwrapped toys. Our families and staff contributed greatly. Several generous alumnae dropped their toys off or had their donations delivered to Fontbonne and the Sisters of Saint Joseph took part along with families who attended our Winter Wonderland celebration.
This drive perfectly aligns with the Fontbonne mission of serving thy dear neighbor. Families in need living in Norfolk, Suffolk and Northern Plymouth counties will benefit from the drive. Toys For Tots Boston distributes the toys through local churches and other non-for-profit social agencies in our communities.
The Fontbonne drive was also part of Mix 104.1's High School Challenge. Fontbonne competed against nine public high schools to see who could collect the most. Our mighty school earned a third place finish!
