SCHOOL  RECEPTIONIST
Full-time

The person in this role must understand and accept the charism and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph, the philosophy and mission of Fontbonne and the Personnel Handbook.

This position manages the day to day operations of the Main Office which includes creating and maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all. The school receptionist should understand our protocols and procedures to ensure that they are a sounding board with other staff members and create the presence we want to foster as a community. This role is an essential part of our community as they are expected to be knowledgeable on current events within our community and be able to make appropriate and accurate referrals. Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following: 

  1.  Daily Attendance Management  
    -Attendance taken every period and reviewed every period 
    -
    Collect and store Absent notes and tardy notes for all students 

  2. Answering Phone Calls, welcoming visitors into the building and ensure tracking

  3. Photocopying - ordering paper and managing supply, putting in trouble tickets

  4. Coordinate all incoming and outgoing mail, which includes the supervision of the Quadient Postage Meter; mailing bulk mailings 

  5. Recording Infractions 

  6. Liaison with JB Pride Uniform Company and Jostens Ring Company 

  7. Organize, Sort and Distribute the back to school packets for all adults 

  8. Order supplies for administrative staff and maintain inventory of Main Office Supplies

  9. Set up early morning meetings with coffee and pastries 

  10. Purchase the BJs snacks for events, maintain the supply of paper goods for the Head of School

  11. Order class lunches and collect money for individual class attire 

  12. Monitor cameras on the premises for suspicious or unusual activity

  13. Supervise work study students who are assigned to the main office during the academic year 

  14. Additional duties as needed
