Social Justice Fair Dedicated to Alumna Nikki Tishler '07
The Social Justice Fair is always a special day for Fontbonne Academy as a whole and the senior class in particular. This year it was held on Friday April 13. The entire Fontbonne community and many visitors could appreciate the hard work that the Class of 2018 had been doing not just this year, but in all four years of studying theology at Fontbonne. The day began and ended with a prayer service. The seniors chose to dedicate the fair in particular to alumna Nikki Tishler ‘07, who began a passion for social justice here at Fontbonne and carried through the rest of her life, which was cut short just a few weeks ago. On this day our students become our teachers. All in attendance were impressed with the careful preparation and the impressive delivery, whether seniors were presenting in classrooms or engaging individuals and small groups at their displays. Each senior was articulate and inspiring, speaking passionately about her specific area of social justice.
