2018 Summer Programs

Thank you for your interest in Fontbonne Academy’s Summer Programs! Fontbonne Academy offers diverse programs, giving students the opportunity to expand their mindset, be creative in a safe environment, make new friends, and have fun! Programs run from July 9 to August 16, with options for students Grades 1-12. All programs teachers and counselors are Fontbonne Academy faculty, alumnae, or current students.

  • Summer Theater Program

    Students will experience the wonders of theater as they act, sing, and dance, as well as take part in costume and set design. Our program offers the excitement of putting on a play from start to finish, and teaches young actors the importance of teamwork and dedication. This summer we will be putting on productions of “Disney’s Peter Pan Jr” and “Bye Bye Birdie.”

  • GIRL POWER!

    Fontbonne Academy's GIRL POWER program is engaging, educational, and FUN, offering many diverse opportunities and experiences! This summer your daughter will process a crime scene, compete in Project Runway, and explore the science of explosions. Under the mentorship of current Fontbonne students, she will prepare for and put on a mock trial, create a Cake Wars masterpiece, and participate in engineering challenges. GIRL POWER is all about exploring new things while making friends with other attendees and current Fontbonne students. At the conclusion of the program, your daughter will invite you to share in her experiences at a culminating gallery where she will showcase her creativity!

  • Side Out Skills Volleyball

    A volleyball camp focusing on forming rock solid skills and breaking bad habits while having a blast. This camp is ideal for the JV player looking to earn a Varsity spot, Varsity players looking to strengthen their game, or new players hoping to join a program.   • High School Entrance Exam Prep

    Students will gain skills on taking standardized tests while working on the language and math portion of the HSPT. They receive an HSPT prep book, in which they can take practice exams, and focus on their individual strengths and areas they want to improve upon. At the end of the week, students will take the Open High School Placement Test and can use their scores towards their Fontbonne Academy application for Class of 2023. A member of the Admissions Department will be available to answer any questions about the application process. This program is open to students who will be in 8th grade as of Fall 2018.

  • Basketball Clinics

    Beginner Basketball
    July 30-August 2 5:00-6:30 p.m.
    This clinic is for players who are new to the game of basketball or have just
    started playing. Basketball skills will be taught playing fun games and
    drills. For girls entering grades 5, 6, 7, 8
    Cost: $90

    Basketball Skills and Drills
    July 30-August 2 6:30-8:00 p.m.
    This clinic is for players who are looking to improve their overall basketball
    skill set. Drills will be fun, but competitive. For girls entering grades 5, 6, 7,
    8, 9 and FBA 10.
    Cost: $90

    Offensive Skills
    August 6-August 9 6:00-8:00 p.m.
    This clinic is for players who want to improve their offensive skill set.
    Participants will work on advanced dribble moves as well as shooting and
    passing. Small sided games will be played to work on these skills in a
    game like situation. For girls entering grades 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and FBA 10.
    Cost: $100
