Immediate Past President of the NAACP Boston Chapter spoke to our students

Michael Curry, past president of the NAACP Boston chapter, led conversations around issues of race and equality on Friday, February 9. Our students were able to continue the discussions in small groups and gained a greater understanding of how to build unity in our society. Thank you to the Student Union of Minorities (SUM) Club for organizing this event.

Denise Magny '18 reflected on the night, saying, "An Evening with Michael Curry truly impacted me. To me, it stressed the importance of social justice in our current society and why it is necessary that we all love our 'Dear Neighbor'. I saw people and students from different backgrounds and walks of life who were all extremely passionate about justice varying from different topics of immigration, hate speech and police violence, this was extremely inspiring."
