Fontbonne Gives Back Through Thanksgiving Food Drive

Fontbonne students and the Adult Learning Community put the focus on giving back this Thanksgiving season. A food drive proved to be a great success on campus.  Thanks to the generosity of the Fontbonne community  we were able to support food pantries serving our dear neighbors in Milton, Norwood, Roxbury at St. Patrick's Parish and in Quincy at Interfaith Social Services. We filled four cars with dozens of bags and boxes filled with donations. Individuals and families will receive non-perishable food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert this Thanksgiving. In addition, Fontbonne was also able to make a $50 donation to each of these organizations, which we raised through our "turkey dollars" collection. Dear Neighborhood would like to give a special thank you to the Class of 2021 who brought in the most food donations. They will enjoy ice cream sundaes later this month for their commitment to the drive. Special thanks to Isabel Raymond '20Olivia Chiavegato '21Caitlin Sullivan '21, Mackenzie Murphy '22, and Tiffany Ngige '22 for organizing all the food that came in and to Christie Louis '20 and Fiona McDonald '21 for delivering our donations.
