Liturgical Dance

Moderator: Ms. Maria Sarte

Description

Liturgical Dance is about connecting people to God through music and movement. Liturgical dance is not simply dancing; rather it is a form of prayer. Music is chosen that would allow movement to enhance understanding and lift the spirit of those witnessing the prayer. Student Officers choreograph the dances and with the assistance of the club moderator teach participating students not only the dances, but what it means to be a liturgical dancer. Liturgical Dance is a full year commitment. Students have danced at liturgies, prayer services and retreats.

Meeting Times

Interested students should sign-up at the Liturgical Dance table at the Activities Fair in October. The first meeting will be on Thursday, October 11, 2007. All other meetings, unless otherwise directed, are held every Thursday from 2:15pm to 2:45pm in the auditorium.
