A team of three Fontbonne Academy seniors came in first place in an entrepreneurial competition sponsored by Babson College. Fontbonne Academy competed against Boston College High School, Boston Latin School, International School of Boston, Kipp Academy (in Lynn), St. John’s Preparatory School, and Weston High School. Seven schools in all, each one presenting two entries that had won at their school.
Jenna Lanciani '15 was awarded the Cardinal Medeiros scholarship to Boston University. These four-year, full-tuition awards are available to graduating seniors in high academic standing with leadership ability and dedication to community service. Congratulations Jenna!
Kathleen Ryan ’15 of Hingham, MA selected as a Hesburgh-Yusko Scholar in the Class of 2019 at the University of Notre Dame. This program was named in honor of President Emeritus of Notre Dame, Father Ted Hesburgh.

Fontbonne Academy is proud to announce that Eastern Point Communications LLC of Braintree, MA has agreed to become an Underwriter of the Babson Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy Program at the school. James Balestraci, President and CEO of Eastern Point Communications, recently made a $10,000 donation to support this new program at Fontbonne, which offers students the opportunity to participate in hands-on experiential entrepreneurial education with a Babson faculty member, guest speakers and panels at Fontbonne Academy and Babson College.
Congratulations to Grace Xue for being chosen to sing at the Massachusetts Eastern District Music Festival. Grace had to undergo a rigorous audition that included singing and sight-reading. She will go to Boston Latin High School on January 9th and 10th for two days of rehearsal with 250 students from eastern Massachusetts high schools that will culminate in a concert on Saturday afternoon that also includes orchestra, concert band, and jazz band.
Sophomore Paige O'Connor, a member of Fontbonne's Select Chorus and Jazz Choir, is anything but new to the stage. This summer, she won first place in the Broadway Debut Division, at the Access Broadway National Competition in Orlando, Florida for her musical theater solo performance. Since then, she has become a member of the Broadway Artist Alliance which provides professional training for promising young performers. This program is dedicated to preparing young performers, like Paige, for a life on stage, by providing voice, acting, and dance workshops taught by Tony Award winners and Broadway performers.
Junior Jackie Zamzow was chosen as an intern in the Department of Technology at Hill Holiday, a prestigious advertising agency in Boston. She was selected from a pool of Catholic School Foundation applicants from schools in and around Boston.
