  1. Students will bring books, workbooks, and other class materials to all classes.  When the bell rings, students will be ready to start class with prayer.

  1. Students will complete homework assignments in a timely and conscientious manner so as to build upon work in class.  Late homework will not be accepted.

  1. Students will keep a notebook for class notes and handouts.  Students will make use of these materials in addition to text book in order to prepare for quizzes and tests.

  1. Students will seek extra help in the support center or after school if necessary.

  1. Students will make use of the language lab to improve upon listening and speaking skills.  In the lab, students will follow rule of absolutely no drinking or eating.

  1. Students will only be recommended for an honors level course for the following year if the required grade is earned.

Students will be evaluated based on the following:

  1. Grades on quizzes:  Throughout each chapter, students will be quizzed on vocabulary and grammar concepts.  Each quiz grade is valued on the basis of total points.

  1. Grades on chapter tests:  At the end of each chapter, students will be evaluated on mastery of all chapter material.  This test grade is valued at 100 points.

  1. Grades on additional writing assignments:  While completing writing assignments, students are responsible for working on their own, without the use of any type of translation program or web site.  If writing assignment involves research, students must give credit to any source used, including web sites.  Any form of plagiarism or improper use of translation sources is strictly prohibited.

  1. Completion of homework and participation in class:  Each quarter students will receive a grade for homework and participation.  In class students will volunteer answers to exercises, work cooperatively in groups, and respond to other classroom directives in the target language.

  1. Grades will be posted on the internet.  Students and parents will use student code and password to access this information through the Fontbonne website.

I have read and will abide by these policies.
