SPANISH 2 HONORS
Classroom Policies:
1.
Follow all
school policies found in the student handbook.
2.
Be ready
to start class when the bell rings. This means:
Be quiet and ready for prayer.
Have all materials on your desk.
3.
Always be
respectful of yourself and of others.
4.
Participation
in class is always expected.
5.
You should
use Spanish as much as possible.
Materials:
-Please bring the following to class every day:
Spanish notebook,
textbook, workbook, pen or pencil
-You should own a Spanish/English dictionary. You will be told when you should bring your
dictionary to class.
Spanish notebook:
-3 ring binder at least 1” thick, plenty of loose
leaf paper, index dividers
-Divided into 5 sections: Vocabulary, Grammar, Culture, Homework and
Writing
-Organization and completeness of materials in notebook will be
essential to help you complete homework and study.
Homework:
There will be homework every evening. Written homework should be completed before
entering the classroom, and will usually be reviewed in class. Written homework will be collected randomly
and graded.
Late work:
-Homework may be turned in one day late for a maximum of 50%
credit. After that, homework will not be
accepted for a grade.
-Long
term assignments will be accepted up to 5 days late, losing 10% each day.
Grading:
Grades will be calculated using a
total point system. Each assignment,
quiz and test will be given a point value and the quarter grades will be
calculated by dividing the total points earned by the total points possible.
***YOU MUST ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN WORK, UNLESS A GROUP ASSIGNMENT IS GIVEN. When you receive any type of writing
assignment, standard dictionaries may be used, but online translators are not
allowed!!!
**Remember that to continue on to the honors and/or elective level, you
must meet the prerequisite average as stated in the Program of Studies**
