INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

 

In keeping with our mission “to embrace diversity in many forms” and to prepare all of our students for their roles as leaders “in the changing world,” Fontbonne Academy is pleased to accept international students into grades 9 – 11 to work toward the Fontbonne Academy diploma or for cultural immersion.

 

International students may attend Fontbonne Academy for cultural enrichment and language acquisition. These students will audit a full contingent of classes and will be graded on a Pass/Fail basis. Upon completion of the enrichment year, a student may apply for admission to the diploma program.

 

If a student is enrolling in our diploma program, all graduation requirements, except for the World Language requirement, must be completed.

 

Requirements for Admission:

Application fee of $30 (check made payable to Fontbonne Academy)

TOEFL or SLEP testing required for acceptance

Teacher Recommendations (translated/written in English)

Discipline Report

Health Records

If the student is in America the following will be required:

Personal Interview

High School Placement Test

 

In order to receive I-20 status, the following is needed:

Copy of passport

Guardian information

Address in country of origin

Address in United States

Banking information

         

Upon Acceptance

First Year international students are required to enroll in a Fontbonne Academy approved ESL program at their own expense. After the first year, it will be determined if this outside tutoring continues to be necessary.
